Jose Silva

Mr. Silva joined Estrada Hinojosa in March 2024 in the Firm’s Austin office. He provides auxiliary support to senior investment bankers across the firm. His responsibilities span quantitative analysis, research, data visualizations, bond issuance support, continuing disclosure support, and other special projects.

Before joining Estrada Hinojosa, Mr. Silva served as a Policy Analyst for Texas State Senator Carol Alvarado (SD-6), managing a diverse policy portfolio. He also brings experience from the U.S. House of Representatives, the Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce, academic research at the McCoy College of Business, and as a graduate student consultant for the City of Seattle and the City of Eagle Pass.

Mr. Silva is an alumnus of Texas State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sociology, summa cum laude as a Terry Scholar. He also earned a Master of Public Affairs from the University of Texas at Austin’s LBJ School of Public Affairs, along with The Dean’s Certificate in State and Local Finance. He holds the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Municipal Advisor Representative, (Series 50), and Municipal Securities Representative (Series 52) licenses from MSRB and FINRA.

Mr. Silva is fluent in Spanish.
